Many federal agencies pursue and support citizen science projects, however, they also put their own emphasis on its practice and outcomes to make the work consistent with each agency’s distinct purview and goals. This panel presentation will feature leaders from multiple federal agencies that offer funding opportunities for citizen science. Each of our panelists will share where citizen science fits in their agency’s strategy and which funding programs at their agency support it.
Leave this meeting with a better understanding of how your current and future projects align with the portfolio of different federal agencies and knowledge of potential funding sources.
This 90-minute program is co-hosted by the Citizen Science Association (CSA) and the Gulf of Maine Research Institute as part of the NASA Citizen Science Leaders Series. CSA uses the term C*Science to reflect the many names used to describe contributory, collaborative, and co-created research collaborations between scientific institutions and other members of the public.
